Cutting mechanism is of guillotine type equipped with a roll self-loading device and a remote control panel used to operate tools of the cutting machine.

Control is effected remotely from a tractor cab. The cutting machine is equipped with fully autonomous hydraulic system. IRK-01.1 roll cutting machine showed excellent performance in course of morning (at 6 in the morning), and evening feeding of cattle. Time of cutting and foddering of one haylage roll is just 5-6 minutes. It makes labour of farm workers much easier.
