Dmitry Teplov presented the machine building cluster at the Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum

The round table was initiated by the Regional Fund of Industry Development of Perm Krai with assistance of the regional Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade.

Dmitry Teplov presented the Perm agricultural machine building cluster that is being registered in the federal register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

Key cluster members are companies of Perm Krai manufacturing agricultural machines for livestock farming and crop growing: Krasnokamsky RMZ, Navigator NE, Tekhnograd, and Bolshaya Zemlya. In addition, the cluster includes over 20 companies supplying components and consumables, higher educational institutions, and a Regional Engineering Center.

Companies located in Perm Krai manufacture unique agricultural machines that help to increase productivity and to improve efficiency.

"I regret to say that many farms apply technologies of the last century. Therefore agricultural companies are not able to operate at full capacity. This fact adversely affects their financial performance. For example, introduction of the in-line haylage technology, agricultural machines for which are produced by KRMZ, can bring 100% to 1,000% per annum depending on a company size. For farms with 1,000 heads economic effect can reach RUB 20 mil a year", Dmitry Teplov told.
